I watched Thodarum on 23 Feb 2012 at NGS. It is excellent. Huge effort, money and participation have gone in to this play. Actors have performed so well. The director has done a good job to make me get involved in the play without realizing that it is a play. Abser has done well some times to the point of overacting. Girish and Palani acted so naturally and spontaneously. Balaji who has done the spirit of “Sathish” was not good in his modulation. The heroine was not up to the mark. The characters of Krishna and Palani revealing about the truth was a good suspense. To make this available through web cast is very generous of you, it is highly appreciated. Let Tamil people all over the world see this. Certainly this is appreciable amidst the trend of Tamil drama (alias) series of jokes. Horror on stage can not be viewed raw, director’s intelligence is seen with the inclusion of the character of Palani. After first 10 minutes anything he uttered brought laughter among audience. Innovative set with a large view of any character entering the scenes is superb. Set design is refreshingly different. Good work, keep it up. It is only the passion of theatre / live performance / stage drama that can make this happen. I wish you get lot of sponsors in the future.
